By accessing or using the MasterMed platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
MasterMed provides an online platform for UCAT examination preparation, including practice questions, simulated tests, performance analytics, and educational content. The platform is operated by MASTERMED PTY LTD (ABN 43 686 310 556). MasterMed is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, UCAT ANZ or the UCAT Consortium.
Many of our users are secondary school students. If you are under 18, you may use MasterMed only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian should authorise any paid subscription purchased for you. A parent or guardian may contact us about an under-18 user's account at any time at support@mastermed.com.au.
To access our services, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
New accounts receive a free trial consisting of a set number of practice sessions; the current allocation is shown when you sign up and on our pricing page. We do not collect payment details for the trial, the trial never converts to a paid plan automatically, and you will never be charged unless you choose a plan and complete checkout yourself. When your trial sessions are used (or the trial period ends), your access simply pauses until you decide whether to subscribe.
You agree not to:
All content on the MasterMed platform, including questions, explanations, graphics, and software, is the property of MASTERMED PTY LTD and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose you tell us about, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the paragraph above: we do not guarantee any specific UCAT score, percentile, or university admission outcome from using the platform — results depend on your own preparation and circumstances — and to the maximum extent permitted by law, MASTERMED PTY LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.
If you breach these terms in a serious way — sharing account access, scraping or redistributing our content, or unlawful use (see section 7) — we may suspend or terminate your account immediately. For other breaches, we will notify you and give you a reasonable opportunity to fix the problem before any suspension or termination takes effect.
If we terminate your account other than for a serious breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period on a pro-rata basis. Termination does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes — anything that increases what you pay, reduces what you receive, or otherwise adversely affects your rights — we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before the change takes effect, the change will not apply to the subscription period you have already paid for, and if you do not accept it you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid period. Minor or clarifying changes take effect when posted on this page. Each update is announced by email with a link to the revised document.
